A wonderful peaceful street with lots of great little restaurants. we have been there numerous times but it can get quiet during the day, maybe during the summer or at night it gets more lively. but still worth a visit
A nice, cozy downhill street with a lively atmosphere. Each table is at a different level on the street and the colorful, comfortable sofas are ideal for a short break. Just sit down to relax, listen to the music and enjoy the original atmosphere.
Though the host spoke no English, we got on very well - he pointed to a picture of a multi-dish in the menu, spoke something that I imagine was explanation of the food, and I said, 'Sure - bring it on.' Hale (my guess on the spelling of his name) chose perfectly - SO good. Then he brought me stuff...
street is very steep full of steps up and down. the style of street is old Istanbul style. you may find very good restaurants here with alcohol. also live music of some restaurants are very nice. you may love it.
A very cute narrow alley , lined with tiny restaurants and bars . Kind of romantic place to skip from the crowd of the Istiklal Caddesi . Give a try ( not necessarily for dinning ) but be aware that prices are matching with the one in high end 5 star hotels .
To get there ask for Galatasaray Medresesi...
