We came here as part of a days tour with Hanoi Vespa Tours. The temple initially looks like a traditional Chinese Buddhist temple but it is actually dedicated to the Mother Goddess Lieu Hanh. It is one of the main temples in Hanoi and very popular with the locals seeking good fortune in business and gambling. This is a working... 更多

Only saw locals here. Streets are lined with food vendors and fortune tellers, no tourist tchotchke being hawked. Packed with locals. Very worthwhile visit. On Hoy Tay (West) Lake. Bit out of the way, but a breeze to get to on motorbike. Here's the GPS coord: 21°3'22.69"105°49'11.07"

What is also interesting is the short walk from the road towards the temple. The walkway has many stalls that sell offerings for worshippers to leave at... 更多
My son and I visited Phu Tay Ho Temple today and enjoyed the experience. Being a Saturday, we made our way there prior to lunch and the surrounding area and temple itself extremely quiet. We walked from our accommodation (Sheraton Hanoi) and enjoyed exploring the area.
We visited this temple today in the middle of West Lake. It's a very long walk from other attractions and we have doubts if we should go. I think it's so worth the effort to visit here! The temple is repainted and very beautiful. Lots of locals here and almost none tourists.
It's a very quiet temple during the day, but beautiful. People milling about lighting incense and giving offerings. Just as... 更多
