Excellent library a lot of information on Eisenhower's time in service to his country. He was an outstanding American! Make sure to have plenty of time there is a lot to see. Friendly staff! Go to the visitors center to purchase tickets and watch short film, next visit the place of meditation where he and his wife are buried, next... 更多
We stopped by the museum on our way to Colorado. It was a great chance to stop and stretch our legs. Turned out it was much better than we imagined. Learned a lot about history.
I stopped in Abilene, Kansas to visit the Eisenhower Library and Museum. The first place was the chapel where General and Mrs. Eisenhower (and one of their sons) are buried. From there, I purchased my ticket for the tour the boyhood home. I went to the auditorium for the 20 min. movie. After the movie, I went to the boyhood... 更多
I have been to many Presidential museums. The Eisenhower one being one of my favorite. It had many artifacts with proper context. I enjoyed the grounds as well. The short film on his life was educational and interesting. The museum is out of the way of major towns but well worth a visit.

In tow were my wife, our two kids, ages 10 and 9, and our friends from nearby Salina. This would be my fourth presidential museum so after the first three I was ready to embark on learning about... 更多
Tour Dwight Eisenhower's boyhood home and follow his progress through WW II and the presidency of the United States. All of it is well presented history and the grounds and buildings are in excellent shape. Highly recommend a couple of hours here.
This is the third in my Presidential libraries visits. By Ike's day, I guess they were saving everything because a large research library is associated with the center. Abilene is hometown midwest. Small, struggling. You could see the forging of a young man in this environment. The railroad runs behind his house. The museum was mostly about his military achievements.... 更多
