I was not impressed with this place. However this attraction has the potential to be really good. The people are friendly and helpful. The local government should invest in the village and advertise where it is. Zambia has so much potential to be an excellent holiday destination.
If you can make your way to Kabwata Cultural Village there are definitely less tourists and plenty to choose from. Keep in mind, the vendors are more persistent, but don't get caught up. They are also nice and are just trying to make a day's earnings. I'd suggest, keep walking through and browse til the end, because there are lots... 更多
Love this place and can't wait to go back. Its more affordable than the Sunday market and they have thousands of items to choose from. The venders are very nice but can be pushy to try and get you to look at their products. Not in a mean way but they need to make a living so they try hard... 更多
Here in the middle of town is a shoppers haven, you can find many hand crafted souvenir from Zambia at affordable prices. Remember to go through all the stalls before deciding on what to buy, there is no fixed price so you need to negotiate to get a good deal. Happy shopping
Good place to grab your African collectibles at a fair price. Most of the items are made right at the market so you can have an experience with the artisans. That way you really know the story behind your purchase and we all love a good story of how stuff's made! The traders are generally fair and friendly.
There were many artisans with very nice work. Paintings, bags, woodwork, etc. I personally did not like the fact that some of the them followed me to the next hut to try and get me to buy. Also many of the huts had the same items. A nice concentrated location to choose all your souvenirs to take home though.
I visited them when I needed some décor for my African Curios, I must say that they didn't have a wide variety of Curio but I managed to find some basics which was quiet affordable too. All in all, it was worth it.
