Make sure you take a boat round Tuti Island to see the meeting of the Blue and White Niles. Fantastic bird watching so go early on Fri or Sat to catch some rare sightings.
Sad to see the poorness of the island and the people even though it is in the heart of the capital, in other countries this island would be marvelous to see, I hope one day it will get some attention from the government to make some development at least by the Nile confluence.
Nicely located in the river opposite one of the crudest areas in Khartoum, you can enjoy your tea or coffee with a wonderful view, especially at the evening or night.
