Visited January 2016 on the 22 nd to be exact .Wed already visited Isanddwhan earlier in the day and this was a very interesting follow up to the earlier battle . The place is very well kept and the original foundations if the hospital can be seen .To stand in that place and imagine what happened there is an thing... 更多
Excellent informative battle site, the very low priced visitor guide walked you through the main actions on the site and explained in some detail the events of the zulu attach and british defence. Good parking and a very good, clean with good food cafe on site. well recomended
Been wanting to visit here fro years and years so was really pleased to manage it it. Took a guide from the hotel and he put all the meat on the bones so much better than the books can. The "museum" as such is well done with exhibits and models but perhaps not as much as I may have expected.... 更多

His great great grandfather was also one... 更多
Rorkes drift was an amazing experience. This magical place comes alive. We were fortunate and had Andrew Ratteray from Fugitives Drift he made the whole battle come to life. Thoroughly recommended, although I think it is essential you have a guide, alone it would be far less intense an experience.
We went on a battle fields tour a few years ago on one of many trips to South Africa. We booked it in Durban. The mini bus picked us up from where we were staying & dropped us back again at the end of a long and very interesting day. We visited many battle sites & even where Churchill was... 更多
