We went to spend an easy day after a week in Yellowstone. The upper falls are very easy to get to. The lower falls has a mile walk or you can drive but the views are limited
As the ranger at the entrance said, the Upper Falls are pretty much a Disney World attraction - and that's not necessarily a bad thing. They are readily accessible via paved pathways designed to accommodate handicapped visitors. It's more than worth it to stop here. The falls are beautiful. I even suggest taking food with you to have a picnic. I've been four times and it has been worth it every time. On your way out, stop at the Frost Top in Ashton. Pricey but great food!
