We visited this beach at the end of the road to Hana drive. It was really nice. The sand is so soft. The waves were small and the beach was big. There was a bathroom and shower available for washing off the sand.
This is the perfect beach to stop at if you are driving around the Hana side of the Island. Beautiful white sand and nice big waves to play in when we were there. There is a public bathroom and shower. The body surfing was so good that almost didn't leave in time to complete our drive in daylight!
We never got to swim here but the beach is large, clean, beautiful, well serviced with facilities (and extras if you are staying at Travaasa Hana). The wind was howling and the waves were crashing and we watched one crazy surfer brave the water, and it was great. I expect on a sunny day the beach is hopping with people... 更多
It was freezing the day we visited the beach, and still we loved it. So picturesque. It also looks like it's safe swimming. Plus there are restrooms and showers (showers free to guests of the hotel nearby, but I believe you can pay a nominal fee to use them). My favorite beach on this side of Maui.
First time you lay eyes on Hamoa Beach makes you realize that even is Paradise does not exist, your pretty darn close to it. What a picture postcard setting! Spectacular!

While it is more crowded than Koki Beach (see my review), Hamoa is a much larger beach with lots of room for swimming, boogie boards, sunbathing, and snorkeling. There are spots with sun, shade, bathrooms, and if you are staying at the Travaasa Hotel in Hana you can get chairs and an umbrella. There can be quite large waves here... 更多
Warning: the waves can be quite rough here. I am confident though careful in the ocean. After watching the waves for an hour, I decided to go in. Immediately I was knocked down and tumbled like a piece of seaweed, and emerged winded and wounded. Choose a calm day with still sea when in Hawaii. The waves are full of... 更多
Part of the road to Hana attractions and SO amazing. There's barely anyone there, the locals come out and play, the water is a gorgeous light blue, the waves are rigorous so you should know how to swim. Loved boogie boarding here until I got slammed be the wave into the sand with my face. Wished we could have stayed... 更多
