It's a pretty nice half day trip. I guess everything is said / explained in the other reviews and it's easy to do it on your own. Just 2 more things to add: - Entrance fee increased to 50Q about a week ago (used to be 25Q / locals pay now 15Q instead of 10Q) - The mirador to the... 更多
Laguna Chicabal is actually an inactive volcano. Once one reaches the top they are greeted with fantastic views of the water filled crater. Once one hikes down to the lake inside the crater its a very eerie misty lake filled with the occasional trees that have toppled over into it. I will admit its a tough hike that takes about... 更多
It was a strenuous hike for me, but I made it. It is a very old dormat volcano that is now a small lake. Try to go as early as possible to see the lake from the viewing deck before the clouds roll in. We were a little late for that, but hiked down to the lake and around it.... 更多
Laguna Chicabal is a really beautiful escape from the city for half a day. Definitely leave early morning (6-7) so you can be there for a time before the clouds roll in (it's still lovely with the clouds, but definitely a different feel). Bring sun block and pack a picnic!
This place is really beautiful, you have to hike up and down to get there but it's totally worth arriving super early and simply hearing how silent and peaceful it can be. Really beautiful place!
Laguna Chicabal is a gorgeous and serene lake in the crater of a volcano. The hike up provides excellent views, and the lake itself provides an interesting look into the Mayan worldview, since it is a sacred and ceremonial location. Swimming is prohibited, but picnicking on the shore is fine. Definitely bring water, a raincoat, and sturdy shoes, as it... 更多
Chicabal is vale la pena. The hike is manageable and with nice scenery. The lake itself is very peaceful and represents an important part of the culture. Recommended.
This is among the easy hikes to a volcano crater, its also very unique as it has a lagoon. I recommend to hike up and go around the lake, very nice view
Super easy and beautiful hike. Make sure to get there early cause it gets foggy around 9am. Easy to get there in Chiken Bus. Super recommended.
