Popular greenway and people from all walks of life use this trail. Walk, jog, bikes. Free parking. The best part is protection from sun during hot Summer months by the tall trees and surprisingly no mosquito during the morning time. Maps helpful but need better direction.
I love using the greenway. It's so nice to have access points close to so many neighborhoods- it provides many options for varying your route. My only complaint is that the trail composition is concrete rather than a softer surface. However there are some dirt spurs through the woods that can also be used.
Taking a walk on the Greenway is the perfect way to be outdoors enjoying nature. Well kept walking paths and facilities make it perfect for every day of the week Weekends can be a bit busy with families on bikes but the paths are wide and everyone is friendly and courteous.
My wife and seven year-old son decided to take a Father's Day walk entering at the Haynes Bridge Rd/Alpharetta. entrance. We spent about an hour walking the paths (didn't cover much) in the late afternoon. I was highly impressed with how well traveled it is by bikers and walkers alike (mostly bikers), that it is paved (at least where we... 更多
My boyfriend and I LOVE to walk together here. There is a variety of nature areas to enjoy, benches along the way and some places for picnics. I like to stop and sit to watch the ducks in the creek/river. The paths are wide to allow others to pass of ride bikes. It seemed well traveled and I felt safe.... 更多
Have walked the Big Creek hundreds of times over the years. Scenic, peaceful, and clean. You will see numerous animals, deer, owls, Hawks, squirrels, rabbits, ect, ect. Word of warning after heavy rain some parts of sidewalk will flood . I prefer my walks in the summers early in mornings as the tall tree's will give much needed shade. Sometimes bikers can act... 更多
We frequent the greenway quite often and have always had a wonderful experience. It is good for walking, running or riding your bike. We also always see plenty of wild life. Go and enjoy nature.
Great place to walk, run, or ride a bike. Always nice when the seasons are changing. Both the City of Alpharetta and the City of Roswell have done a nice job with their portions of the trail. Just watch the web-site after heavy rains as it is prone to flooding.
I'm not sure the length of the trails because I've yet to walk each all paths. The paths are paved and wide. The greenway is well maintained. One of the paths flood a bit after a long heavy rain, BUT there is another path ; at a higher elevation in relation to the creek, that you can take. Great place... 更多
