Did the boat tour today and got to see the bay and Saint Mark River area. Boat ride was very pleasant and was allowed to bring a small cooler for the trip. Didn't see as many birds or wildlife as I anticipated but the scenery was glorious. Trip lasted over 3 hours and was a fun day to enjoy the... 更多
No one coming to Apalach should leave without taking at least one of the offered tours offered by the Maritime Museum. Take a short tour along the waterfront or take a leisurely afternoon up the St, Mark River and ease into true rivertime relaxation. Do stop by the museum to make your reservations since at the moment the website has... 更多
Amazing sunset cruise!! Captain Richard was so knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of great historical information. We saw Dolphins, lots of birds a the most amazing sunset!! We were in the area for our 20th wedding anniversary and this was one of the highlights of the trip. Great cruise, friendly guide- highly recommend.
It is a small maritime museum. But tons of history about the town of Apalachicola, if you read all the postings and signs. So we walked through and looked at the exhibits, but did not spend time to read about them. I thought there was a boat to look at... 更多
If you have really nothing else to do I would still question a visit. No information from receptionist who was totally showing lack of interest in our visit.
Great place for historical information for Apalachicola and surrounding area. Lots of information on the bay and also the rivers coming into the Bay. Very interesting artifacts. Looks small but I believe it would really take an hour and half to see and read everything that is there. Great break from the beach especially on a rainy day.
The older part of the city is really small, and nice. Many years ago this was a tiny sea port for fishing, now a tourist trap, you can see some old time fishing stuff here
Apalachicola being a fishing town, We decided to pop in for a Saturday tour. The gift shop has a lot of trinkets and souvenirs. The man behind the counter is by far, the most dry and unfriendly human we have crossed on the gulf coast! He gives a whole new meaning to Salty Dog! We started to walk out but... 更多
