We were so glad that we took time from the hustle and bustle in Aspen to enjoy this incredibly serene place, so aptly created in John Denver's memory. The peace of this setting is infectious. Strolling through natural paths with water flowing and gorgeous flowers all around is an unforgettable experience. This sanctuary is difficult to find and there aren't... 更多
This garden area, dedicated to John Denver, is absolutely beautiful. The flowers were out in full bloom when we were there in July. The unique thing about this garden is that the large stones have John's songs written on them. What a tribute to a great man and musician. It is a photographer's dream to take pictures there.
I had no idea this place existed until after dinner the wife and I opened the TripAdvisor app to see where we could go to walk off dinner. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised at what a unique and interesting park this was. Loved the landscaping, river and tribute to JD. We would definitely go again!

Located off of Main on the North East side of the library, it is marked as John's Song and has a rock amphitheater with 5-7' tall boulders with the lyrics of John Denver's songs. There seems to be some foot traffic through the sanctuary but not... 更多
I met John Denver when I worked at the Aspen Airport years ago he was always kind to the employees and a nice person. I have been wanting to visit his sanctuary and finally got the chance on a recent vacation. I was not disappointed. It was beautifully landscaped with rocks and flowers and all the inspirational quotes were an... 更多
If you're a John Denver fan, which I admit to, don't miss this peaceful garden. It's near the Rio Grande trail, so you can walk through the sanctuary, find lyrics to all your JD favorites, then set out for a lovely, introspective walk down this beautiful trail. It's even accessible for folks who don't have the best mobility (I have... 更多
We went to the John Denver Sanctuary, located in the heart of downtown Aspen next to the Roaring Fork River, in March, a few days after a snow storm. There is no public "free" parking near here. There is a garage, very close, for $1.50/hour, use this, very nice. Quick walk to the sanctuary and even in winter the large... 更多
