Lake Clementine Trail is a beautiful hike. Trailhead starts just off the 49 and old foresthill road. Plenty of parking along the road but you must pay a $10 fee. If you arrive before the ranger make sure to pay the slip because they check. Trail is fairly easy with a few hills. You hike under the Foresthill Bridge and... 更多
What a gorgeous little jewel nestled in the foothills! The road to the lower part of the lake is paved, windy, narrow--car and a half width as you get closer to the lake--and completely on a downhill slope. In leaving we met folks in a pickup truck that was towing a rather large boat--car and a half wide--with two vehicles... 更多
Lake Clementine is a hidden lake best reached via short hike from the parking area. Bring snacks or a lunch, dogs and kids as well. The uphill hike is along a mostly paved road. If you've the time, another short walk down a path near the dam leads to great views of the water coursing over the spillway. Keep a... 更多
This is a bit hidden. It's where the locals boat and swim with care as there is a damn there. Not much parking but it great for hiking and sitting on the ledge overlooking the damn. It is very serene in summer and a bit dicey in the spring as the Sierra's melt. You will love it. Watch out for... 更多
Almost think I shouldn't be sharing. We have enjoyed Lake Clementine for years and can't say enough how much we love it. We normally boat in and camp on the sand beach. For a day visit you can head to upper lake and swim at the river, dogs love it!
Fantastic day with family! Bring your own food, snacks, drinks and enjoy a beautiful day in the sunshine. I recommend late spring, early summer... or all summer for that matter. Being in the foothills, it's a nice spot always a few degrees cooler than down in the valley which makes it nice for later summer as well when trying to... 更多
Great place for kayaking, especially sit-on-top kayaks. Short distance off the freeway; however be careful on the park road down. With reservations through the state park I believe you can camp overnight. Great for seeing wildlife. Various waterfowl visit the lake on their migratory treks. It is also used by motorboats; although there has only been a few at any... 更多
Have not been to Lake Clementine in over 30 years. What a change. Roads improved dramatically and much more parking for vehicles and trailers. Still a bit of a long road down to the boat launch, but the road is paved. Welcomed by very nice State Parks employees.
Read several reviews about lake clementine being a good place to hike...warning...it's not! We went to upper lake clementine and no trails. The other area of lake clementine did not appear to have good trails tho we did not try since hot and tired driving the bumpy road down to the lake...the other entrance into the lake was extremely narrow.... 更多
Lake Clementine is accessible by paved road from Auburn, about 1/2 hr away. Lower lake has nice launch ramp and parking. Some power boats here, but mid-week use is almost exclusively canoe and kayaks. $10 fee. Upper lake is shallower and restricted to non-power craft. The lake is formed by a dam across the north fork of the American River... 更多
