We came as a group of five for a 3 pm tour and tasting. The tour leader was in great command of his facts and had a passion for the business. The tour lasted about an hour followed by a half hour of tasting.... it was a very long time to stand. The products are very special and after hearing... 更多
We visited the St George Spirits Distillery after having a cocktail made with green chili vodka at Pier 23 in San Francisco. When we found out it came from a local artisanal distillery, we added it as a place we had to visit! St George Spirits is in Alameda Point, in a hangar at the old Naval Air Station. Kind... 更多
My wife is now a self proclaimed brandy/liqueur/gin/vodka snob! Great tour and tasting experience. Too bad their store does not ship purchases - we were visiting from out of the area and we would have bought items on the spot. Instead we were told to buy where we live...
...is how the engaging, effervescent Sam, aptly described the feel of the ex-Naval hangar distillery. Even though I don't typically drink straight liquor, I thoroughly enjoyed the informative hour-long tour and tasting. Having experienced countless wine-tastings over the years, this was a refreshing change, and I highly recommend it for those looking for something DIFFERENT to do in the San... 更多
I'm not much of a drinker, but that has never stopped me from going to breweries, wineries, bars, club, etc. This place is no exception. Learned a lot about vodka, gin, whiskey, absinthe. I'm ready for trivia night! Our hostess is amazing. She is fun, engaging, and willing to answer questions. Enjoyed the tasting too. Definitely a nice afternoon weekend... 更多
Combine a tour and tasting at St George Spirits in Alameda for a wonderful experience. It's just a ferry ride from San Francisco to the distillery and well worth a visit. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and booked the 4pm tour and tasting. The tour lasts an hour and the tasting half an hour more. You can just go... 更多
If you have never seen the inside of a working distillery, this would be a good place to check out. After the tour, try samples of a few of the many products that they make, including vodkas, gins, brandys, liquers, and a very good Absinthe. Had a nice hostess who explained each to us, and we were allowed to try... 更多
My friend and I very much enjoyed our recent tour and tastings at St. George's. The facility is located in a large warehouse, which used to be part of the Alameda Naval Air Station. We found driving in and out to be a bit confusing. Perhaps the web site's directions could be a little clearer. Our tour was well done;... 更多
I knew of St. George and intended to stop by on our last visit but they have unusual hours. This trip we stopped by immediately upon landing in Oakland. It was about 15-20 minutes from the Oakland terminal. Several times we thought we were going into a bad area but the actual location is very safe. It was a slow... 更多
The Wall Street Journal called their raspberry eau de vie the 3rd best clear spirt in the US. Their Chili Vodka is the best ever. All their spirits are a cut above. The clincher is that on Saturdays you can sit outside in the sun and look across the bay at San Francisco.
