There are several hikes with something for every level of stamina. There is a botanical garden to stroll thru and a vigorous hike straight up the mountain. The only downside is the lack of restroom facilities. Not even a portable toilet. That can be distressing if your visit there is a lengthy one. Free to the public. Good parking.
You now can not only hiking the many wonderful trails on the mountain and around it but there is a very nice walking trail on flat land by the parking lot. I hiked this trail with my sister's Becky and valory. There are spectacular views from the top silly Mountain. I loved the huge cactus. Bring plenty of water to drink!!
Silly Mountain has a good network of trails and is very close to hwy 60 so easy to reach. The trails vary in steepness and ruggedness.
