I passed this beautiful building with the statue of Queen Isabella as I walked from the Farragut Square and White House to the Mall. It is located near the Corcoran Gallery and Daughters of the American Revolution Headquarters (at the same side of 17th Street). The Statue and the front facades of the building look interesting. Queen isabella the catholic is just in front of this stunning building that has the flags of all american states (not talking about US states, but actual countries) represented. The patio is wonderful, and provides some shade and you can see some rare tropical plants.
We walked past here after checking out the White House and the Eisenhower office building on the way back towards the National Mall. The exterior is quite pretty, of course there was no possibility of going inside on a Sunday. Worth a stop to click a few pics.
