Great tour of this 100-year-old house that Woodrow Wilson and his second wife moved to after his time in The White House. Jeremiah led our tour and was fantastic. He first said it would take about 45 minutes but it took close to 90 minutes because he was so detailed in every room he took us through.
Glad you had a great experience. It's nice when it's a quiet day and you can take your time; it's... 更多
We went here after visiting the Anderson House because I thought my husband would enjoy the history; he did! It is also near the Phillips museum. Definitely do the tour. You watch a short film about Wilson and then you learn more about his life and the house where he lived for a few years after his stroke. It's more... 更多
I had heard about this home and was actually walking towards the Phillips Collection when I found that this house was just a few blocks more up the road. I got there a few minutes after the last tour should have started for the day, but they waited for me to pay my $10 and join them. Our tour guide... 更多
Decided to check this out while strolling the neighborhood near our hotel. Glad we did. Yes, there is obviously a lot of information about Wilson and his family but it's such a wonderful example of a 1920's home that has been well preserved. Our docent did a great job giving us all the details of the home. Highly recommend.
If you visit DuPont Circle area and visiting the Embassy Row, add the President Woodrow Wilson House in your itinerary. According to the information by the door, this museum is the only museum of the U.S. President. To visit the whole museum, visitors need to be in the group tour operates by the Museum staff (last about one hour). However,... 更多
I bought two Groupons for this to use on a trip to DC with my dad. We didn't have high hopes but since this was our second trip to DC I wanted to find something more off the beaten path to do. I am SO glad we went! I honestly did not know much about Woodrow Wilson before this trip... 更多
My mom and I stumbled upon The President Woodrow Wilson House just before closing time while walking around Embassy Row. We enjoyed an hour-long private tour of the home and learned quite a bit of interesting history about the Wilsons. The friendly museum staff also gifted us with gorgeous fresh flowers left over from a private reception the night before... 更多
My wife and I visited today with no forward knowledge of what to expect, aka no expectations. The house was beautiful and mostly intact to the time of Wilson's post-White House life there. The tour guide was wonderful and did a very personal tour - we learned a lot about the President and his wife and their time in the... 更多
The Wilson House is a great example of 1900-1920s living in America. The house is preserved well and there are MANY original artifacts available to see. There is a charge to get into this facility, so it isn't the kind of place you just say, "let's see what we find". However, if you love Presidential history and past living, this... 更多
