I bought two Groupons for this to use on a trip to DC with my dad. We didn't have high hopes but since this was our second trip to DC I wanted to find something more off the beaten path to do. I am SO glad we went! I honestly did not know much about Woodrow Wilson before this trip... 更多
My mom and I stumbled upon The President Woodrow Wilson House just before closing time while walking around Embassy Row. We enjoyed an hour-long private tour of the home and learned quite a bit of interesting history about the Wilsons. The friendly museum staff also gifted us with gorgeous fresh flowers left over from a private reception the night before... 更多
My wife and I visited today with no forward knowledge of what to expect, aka no expectations. The house was beautiful and mostly intact to the time of Wilson's post-White House life there. The tour guide was wonderful and did a very personal tour - we learned a lot about the President and his wife and their time in the... 更多
The Wilson House is a great example of 1900-1920s living in America. The house is preserved well and there are MANY original artifacts available to see. There is a charge to get into this facility, so it isn't the kind of place you just say, "let's see what we find". However, if you love Presidential history and past living, this... 更多
This is one of the few place wherein you can view a post-presidency. At the time the Wilsons were allowed to keep gifts given to them I was amazed at the lovey mosaic given by the Vatican is prominently displayed in the living room, especially given Wilson's virulent anti-Catholic bigotry.
This is a great hidden gem, off the beaten path. If you need a break from the mall and the crowds, head here. The tour directors are super knowledgable and friendly. This is the house that Wilson lived in after he left the White House.
To get to this home you take the Metro to Dupont Circle. It's just 3 or 4 blocks to the home from that point. The walk is mainly flat except for the last half block, which is definitely uphill. The walk itself is interesting because it goes along embassy row and you get to see all the different countries embassies... 更多
I bought a Groupon for a reduced admission for two people and was very pleased with my choice. The Wilson home is part of the Dupont-Kalorama Museums Consortium. We were there on a Wednesday and were fortunate to snag a parking place in front of the entrance to the home and a tour by a docent as soon as we... 更多
