Myself and my kids (6 and 11) loved the 3D IMAX documentary we saw. It is pricey but the theater is comfy and air-conditioned. You get a significant discount if you want to watch a second presentation. Since the Air & Space Museum is free it is worth spending the money on IMAX.
I wasn't really too interested in this museum, but the planetarium was really enjoyable for me! The movie was cool and it's a round domed ceiling so it feels like you're actually in space.
If you visit AIR and Space museum, do not miss the Journey to the Stars show. For adults, teenagers and young kids, for everyone, it was a magical experience.
