While I had been to Moab over five times before this trip, I had not taken this great route before. If you are in the area, you must take time to drive this truly scenic byway!
We drove on Scenic Byway Utah 12 and words can not describe the amazing vistas, panoramic views we saw! This was one of the best drives we have ever done! If you have time and plenty of gas. This is a MUST DRIVE! The drive winds through Dixie National Forest, Bryce Canyon, Grand Staircase Escalante, Glen Canyon, Capitol Reef and... 更多
Hairpin turns, steep drop off's and great scenery. This 2 lane road is not heavily travelled, it has scenic overlooks to take in the view, a few small towns as well. Stop in at the Burr Trail Inn for some good food and home-made pie. Watch out for cows. Some of the road is open range and they will wonder... 更多
If you are driving between Arches and Bryce, take the extra time and drive Highway 12. It's true there is very little out here to stop (so bring your lunch and have a full tank of gas), but the sites are great. Plus, you can check Capitol Reef off your National Parks checklist. The mountain part of the drive is... 更多
We stayed in Panguitch and drove on 12 through through Red Canyon, by Bryce, through Escalante on the way to Capital Reef Park. It's amazing how different the scenery was as we drove. Every Canyon and valley was unique. Warning...by the end your mind is blown. It's like walking through the Vatican Museum, but instead of going art blind, you... 更多
We researched the best driving route from Moab to Bryce Canyon and reviewers were recommending Highway 24 and Highway 12. They were not wrong, the views are spectacular.
I had heard a lot about this drive. We were driving from Bryce to Capitol REEF so decided to take this highway. I think the best part of the highway includes red canyon, Bryce and Capitol Reef. Drive between Escalante and Boulder is also nice. But overall there is lot of hype about this drive which I think that has... 更多
a very interesting and somewhat challenging drive. The scenery is breathtaking-geological formation that are of a striking nature , massive and very colorful.
If you have the time, take a drive to see as much as possible here. The magnificent views, the vivid colors of nature all around. You will probably reach some point where it will be time to turn around and head back. I would say take the road less traveled and drive by the other sights near. You won't be... 更多
I was so looking forward to this drive from Torrey to Bryce from all the reviews I read and it did not disappoint. Took our time and did a lot of pull overs for pic. Would recommend this drive to anyone who is going to be in the area.
