the cove across the street was beautiful, the park was great. the reef with the seals was one of the highlights of the trip. alot better then sea lion cave. some nice hiking trails. the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars was the biking campsite was the worst one we stayed at. they must just take a spot... 更多
We just spent 2 great weeks at this park, and it was wonderful. 2 adults in one of their yurts, more hot water in the showers than I am used to at a state campground, friendly staff, awesome views , and my favorite ice cream shop just down the road in Charleston. If you enjoy Oregon State Parks, then I... 更多
The beach here is great. It is in a protected cove so the surf is calm. It's easy for young toddlers to wade in, or take out a kayak or stand up paddle board. There is a fresh water creek that flows into the beach after running through the nearby campgrounds. We took the 5 minute drive into town of... 更多
Wonderful state park. You feel like you have your own cover with the way the bushes are grown up around your campsite. Was a very popular campground with nearly every spot taken by campers or tenters. Price was great for Full Hookups
This is a charming state park with several trails & a lovely beach nearby. As with most state parks you have to be selective with your site but there is a variety of approaches and lengths. A3 was perfect for our 26 ft 5th wheel. Lots to do in this area: 4 mile drive S to Shore Acres, Simpson view... 更多
Oregon State Parks often make great family beach trips easy, safe, and fun. Sunset Bay is no exception. The grounds are well-kept and the cove protects swimmers and beachgoers from wind and high waves. Great for picnics, playing on the beach, and wading in the water.
Call it being sentimental... call it what you want. But I love Sunset Bay. I stayed here as a kid and several more times as an adult and every time I feel a little nostalgia from my youth. Great memories of summer trips to the Oregon coast. And make no mistake its sunsets are stunning. The campground is great, the... 更多
If you have kids that love to get in the water, this is one of the safest coves for wading, and some say, even swimming. The wave action is usually low in this cove as it is very protected by the surrounding cliffs. It's a beautiful setting across the road from the state park campground, with picnic areas and a... 更多
This park has so much, we wished we had stayed a few days. Camping facilities excellent, watching the sunset in the lovely circle of protected waters. Good place for kids to swim, small mellow waves. Don't miss Cape Arago.. We saw whales, even in September. Fantastic reef crawling with sea lions, seals with a loud continuous barking. We are coming... 更多
Nice beach with campground and picnic area. We also went to Simpson Reef to look at the sea lions. There were hundreds piled on the rocks sun bathing and many playing in the water.
