We came in to camp near Quemado Lake. and got lost exploring. Absolutely stunning. the 6 hours we spent finding our way back out was not regretted!
Drive was beautiful but our rental's brakes started smoking. Had to learn how to down shift. About 30 miles of winding up and down roads with stunning scenery. Saw a roadrunner and some weird lizards. The hike to dwellings is completely worth it
We have been here twice. The first time was to visit the Cliff Dwellings, but it was so pretty that this summer we spent a week backpacking there.
