We have visited the Colorado River in Arizona and Nevada. After running through the Grand Canyon, the Colorado reaches Hoover Dam and turns south creating the state line between Arizona and Nevada. There is so much to do in this amazing waterway- whitewater rafting, tubing, just relaxing in a secluded area on a beach. Quite a treasure.
If you go in the summer, Laughlin is hot. The river tends to cool things down a little. You can take a water taxi to the different hotels and casinos for a small fee. You can also rent jet skis on the river. It is a refreshing oasis in that hot desert.
We have stayed in Laughlin Nevada several times over the years and may even go back this year. You can't beat the hotel and food prices not to mention it all sits along side the Colorado river.Always good weather many things around to do.
