There are not many places in Perth where one can get a sense of what it was like to be here 200 years ago. So the roundhouse is a little treasure to visit and appreciate... and when I said little- I did mean it! Enjoy and pay respect to our past ones.

The volunteer staff here are fantastic! Such nice friendly folks. The venue itself was interesting and worth a visit. It can be done in about 30 min. Be sure to get your picture taken in the wood restraining device.

It's a strange building perched on top of a hill over looking the town of Fremantle. It's the oldest public building in Western Australia and was used as a lockup for prisoners. Lot's of information to read up there and plenty of photos. Must have been hot and stinking for any prisoner unlucky enough to find themselves locked in here.... 更多

A walk around Freemantle port area is a must, this lovely old historic Roundhouse is amazing. I just loved the stone work.
