This beach is located near Tavira and reachable, preferably by train, near Pedras D´el Rei Resort (5 mins, and you pay 3€/person) - if you want you can walk, and it´s a nice one due to all the beautiful surrondings - and what makes this beach special is the fact that in early 1900´s this was one of the main... 更多
We parked near the little train and rode over to the island looking for the old anchors. What a strange and wonderful sight they are planted there in the dunes ! The restaurant was OK and they do a good job out there in what were the old tuna industry buildings. The beach was lovely. It is quite clean and... 更多
We went to Tavira and from there by taxi (5 euro) to place from where you cross the small bridge then you walk about 15 min. or go by mini train to the Beach:) there are restaurant and toilets and a great beach. February and was about 20 degree.
Great place on the beach , old tuna fishery converted to suit tourism , tuna fisheries ended years ago when the stopped visiting the waters now a seductive little holiday place on the beach
Great beach to come to, either catch the little island train to the main beach area 2.50eu adult price at present, 1 way, or take a nice stroll along the wooded sidings looking for an assortment of birds and flowers. A lot of interesting history with the anchors and fishermen s huts as a remembrance to the days of catching... 更多
The train ride is lovely, slow enough to spot the birds. It was stormy so the breakers on the beach a wonderful sight, so dramatic, we bypassed the train and headed back on foot, what a blowey day, stunning event. Drive to Luz ( you can walk it) for warmth and food!
Good beach, clean, nice clear water. The toilets I would call an issue as they are very dirty and smelly. The food at the restaurant is ok, but compared to the food I've had in Portugal, is not really great. But the beach is nice and is good for a day travel.
