We visited the beach on a cool, crisp, but clear evening. While we didn't make use of the facilities, there are many for kids to play on and changing stations for swimmers (in the summer). The beach is long with good access and nice sand. A good summer hangout.
Europeans are satisfied with beaches they have which are nothing compared to beaches in Australia with sand and sun. Latvia is my father's home country but even in summer swimming here would be an effort in the freezing Baltic Sea
The beach is superb, endless and excelletly maintained and organised. The city itself with its old town and its artsy cow sculptures scattered all around town is very pleasant indeed. Some very good vistas on its busy port activities. Lots of charm for such a city.
It's a great beach. The sand is perfectly white, there are plenty of sand dunes to hide from wind. The sea is a little cold, but you have plenty of attractions to distract you. Kids will have loads of things to do with a variety of swings. There booths to get change, clean toilets at short distant and little cafe...
Ventspils beach is a long nice sand beach. Different activities are possible at the beach.
Close to the beach is open-air waterpark (open during the summer) which was lot of fun for all of us even in not very warm day - the jaccuzis were warm ewnough and sauna was good place to keep warm :)
This is very large beach with white sand. We visited that place end of August. Weather was warm but water was so cold. There is not much places to sit and take some snacks. There is no sunbeds and umbrellas.
Car Parking is very close.
