This is a sight every Jewish tourist to Riga should visit. It brings to life the horrors of the war and also serves as a fitting tribute to those who lost their lives here. Along with the nearby Riga Ghetto museum it should be seen.
The monument is situated near to the Science academy, The area and monument is well kept so worth a visit if you are in the area but it is quite a sad place
We decided to visit the memorial site after visiting the Science academy which is very near. It is a very sad place. It is a very peaceful and feels almost surreal in contrast to the historical significance of the place. Worth visiting if you are interested in history or are Jewish.
i wish to see this wonderful place of remembrance where my ancestors lost there lives but my grandparents escaped to USA. My heart goes out to all the family still dealing with the pain. This is a beautiful tribute!
