A well organised museum with intersting exhibits in the center of Riga's Old Town. One can see there weapons, tools, clothes, documents, daily routine of people of the wars in which Latvia's participated. Although, everything's written in Latvian and people who are working there do not speak English, at least those with whom we tried to communicate. There are lockers... 更多
There is a nice exhibition about historical point of view of the succesive wars were Latvia has been involved, with recreations and some vindicative statements.
It is a great museum, but with a sad and horrible history. Read up on the occupation time, the day the SS collected Jews from their homes, just to get them killed. There are pictures, notes, and history on the walls.

Very interesting museum with a very good scenography ! But...the guide wasn't very welcoming ! The velocity was very high and we hadn't the time to understand the content ! However, the employee's of the little shop were very sympathic !
Outside it is a very interesting building and of course you want to go in. However, the rooms and descriptions had zero English except for a naff little laminated leaflet which doesn't refer to any of the displays and just gives you a long story that you could find on the Internet. I would not bother going again.
Thorough travel in history of Latvian war. Interesting details, and lots of things to see and read. Free admission, and guided tour costs a few euros but are totally worth it.

The exhibition took you through the years of warfare that had occurred in the region. Whilst it was interesting and I learnt much I felt at the end that... 更多
