Easy to find, a five minutes walk from the old town. Very cheap tickets, less thatn a euro for school kids. Lots of stairs, as the exhibitions are on five floors. Our 8-9 years old kids easily spent almost two hours watching the development of primates, stuffed birds and mammals and some fossils. No store, no cafe, but decent cloakroom... 更多
There's pretty much to do with children. We were there with 5 and 9 year olds and spent many hours. Unfortunately most of the text is in Latvian, but even then there's much to see and do. Quite many interactive things. Kids liked it.

Having paid just €1.14 (student) to get in I was really surprised with the quality of the museum. Lots of interactive exhibits for students. This natural history museum has about 5 levels of great exhibits. Each one is of a high quality and has lots of interactive things for children as well. It was also very reasonably priced at €1.14 (student). The only downside is all the displays are in Latvian only, however, there are some books with translation if needed.
Charming museum with lots of interactive stuff for the children. The exhibition about amber was really great. There's a lot of stuffed animals, and some of them are really old, but I find it quite charming. The tickets are really really cheap!
