This is the place number one if you want to see Kaunas from above. Pick a good day with nice visibility and you will see big part of Kaunas.
In general churches have a lot's of walldrawings, Madonna:s and much more. This church haven't all this and made it more unusual for me, but I felt that the spirit was the as in other churches - maybe a little bit more!
The church is just like any other church. From here you can go to the roof to see 11 panoramic views. Don't be fooled....you will only see rooftops. It's not very expensive to go up with the lift but it's a waste of time.
You visit this church shortly after the funicular (usually in a combo). The church has a dramatic history which is the most interesting part of it. Interiors are serious, severe and completely white. Walls naked and very meditative, even a bit intimidating. At the entrance on the right there is an office where you can buy the ticket to reach... 更多
A beautiful building, but the best reason for visiting this place is the view from the roof. It is the best in town. Not much to see inside, so head straight for the elevator. Also make sure to ride the funicular on your way to the church.
there was a wedding on when we visited, but this church was our first of many in lithuania. Climb to the top, it's so worth it. we had a picnic up there. you pay 3 euro to walk up the stairs or 5 euro for the lift (about 20 little flights of stairs but they are shallow steps so it's... 更多

WWI, Polish occupation, Nazi occupation, Soviet occupation - the people had to wait over 80 years until the building could be consecrated as a church And if you are just interested in a view of the... 更多
This Church overlooks the city at the terminus of the funicular. There is a spacious terrace to take in the view and enjoy a fresh breeze on a hot day.
