this is a lovely building with some amazing old war relics from long ago and more recent times each room contains something different and are beautifully displayed
The museum tells the military history of Lithuania going back to the time of pagan tribes up to the present. There is also a section highlighting the rulers of Lithuania. Outside is the Lithuanian Memorial to the Unknown Soldier. Worth a visit if you are a history/military buff.
I´m a fan of military history and only recommend the Military museum of Vytautas to people like me really, for all you "normal people" will be a bit boring i´m afraid...
This very elegant modern building was opened in 1921 on February 16th, exactly three years after Lithuania first announced her independence. If you are interested in history or weapons - that`s Your place. We spent about 2 hours to see everything and it was really interesting. It is allowed to take photos.
For just a few euros you can spend an hour or two observing weapons, helmets, military uniforms (you can even try some of them), even a few planes (which was my favorite exhibition) and more stuff. It is a simple museum, don't expect interactive stuff or fancy exhibitions. However, if you like swords, guns and other weaponry, you'll probably enjoy... 更多
For €2's you can't go wrong, lots to see and for the gun lovers there are plenty of those to been seen. Split over two floors and several rooms it's a great little history lesson. A massive selection of guns, outfits and helmets on display. Also even if you aren't an art lover there are some great pieces on display... 更多
