You have to go up to an office to get a ticket and tour to see the council room which is a gem. The building is designed by Odon Lechner one of the great Hungarian architects. It is truly a beautiful building and worth the effort to see it. Plus the hour is rung with tunes each hour.

Unfortunately we were unable to tour the building when we were there. Given the size of this city, the building is impressive, as well as being quite attractive. The flowerbeds are well looked after and even though there are many small and comfortable cafes, tables are always clean, and the staff are great. Some speak English, not all... 更多
The building is beautiful. If you are lucky enough to be there around noon, you can hear the beautiful bells ringing. It's worth checking out.
