We had jumped the metro down to Heroes Square and BUDAPEST PLAGE is an absolutely wonderful centre piece of this amazing square.
We had admired the bronze statues in this square but the 7 statues of the cheifs around the column and the archangel Gabriel atop it really look's out of this world.
This is a very popular tourist attraction...
The Plage is defiantly worth a walk through if you are visiting attractions in this area. Myself and my sister had bicycles which was an excellent way to see the city. The statues in the Plage are very much in the style that you come to expect when visiting Budapest- think Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones slightly creepy/gothic!...
The Heroes Square, or Budapest Plage, offers an impressive memorial of significant Hungarian heroes. It's basically in the middle of the street. Easy for a drive by or stop and visit for a more close up view.
