I visited the permanent collection and In the mood for colour -exhibition. Both had amazing, ornamented art pieces, ceramics, glass and jewelry. I was slightly confused of the separate ticketing for the exhibitions, it's worth to buy the ticket to all.
It was a very old fashioned museum with few interesting rooms. The pedagogic was poor, and the staff was very passiv, only asking to see your ticket every time you entered a new room.
I really enjoyed going here. A variety of exhibitions to look through. However, you are constantly being followed, as if people dont trust you. (You will soon realize this happens in all museums in Budapest) so get use to people following you around!
Beautiful architecture, both inside and out. The collection itself is curious but not outstanding, unlike the place! You can just walk around and explore and imagine you are in 1900s. Been here because a friend of mine just got in to graphic design and waned to see other designer's work. I enjoyed it. Did not like that I could not touch anything but I did see some interesting work there and the building of the museum is extraordinary!
I was so dissapointed at the end. First of all the building itself is a masterpiece in decay. Paid a reduced ticket because I had the budapest card. The clerks at the counter were barely speaking english. The lady at the cloakroom was just rude. She didn't say a single word let alone smile out of courtesy. Honestly I was... 更多
