After riding the Children's Railway we walked up the path to find ourselves at a stop where we could have lunch and then walk further to the tower. Climbing to the top we were rewarded with a fantastic view of Budda Hills to Danube to Pest. It was fun to point out the places we had already been and see... 更多
We were a little confused on the best way to get to the look out tower but took the number 2 metro from our hotel in Pest to the main bus station and jumped on the number 155 bus from there. We were told it was the last stop but when we got off we couldn't find any signs or... 更多
Taking the chairlift both up and down, i can't say much about the climbing of the mountain, but the nature upthere is stunning and the Elizabeth point definetly worth a visit. Loads of wasps on the top this time of year, but it was very empty and loads of space for exploration when we were there! Also, taking the bus... 更多
So what it takes and does it worth honestly? If summer, I recommend to take a local bus, go to a planned point and then go for a light hiking. If spring/autumn, then hiking, or take the LIBEGO (=cable car)! It takes fairly long to go up with the ski-slope-like 2 seater cable "cars"to get to the top. Once arrived... 更多
Got the children's railway to janoshegy and walked the rest of the way. The views are awesome. Really great. We did it in 36c heat and it was a long climb but there's plenty of benches to rest on at the top. A small cafe await, but best of all, the views are free to enjoy for as long as... 更多
Take the chair lift and get away from the bustle and noise of the city. The 360 degree views from the monument at the top are well worth the effort. Though we did not have time could also be combined with a visit to the famous railway actually run by children. Another time!
This building is Budapest largest point view. If you had got a time, you can use the olda 1970, Chairlift until the viewponit. Chech it, becouse this panoramic area is amazing!
Great to take the chairlift up the hill and look down on a number of private gardens. The wedding cake lookout tower gives you a great view across Buda and all the way over to Pest.
Janoshegy has wonderful hiking trails that offer great views of Budapest. We visited in March and the weather was quite cool. The trails were lovely, as flowers are already blooming. The smell of lavender was intoxicating! If you get hungry, there are stalls selling lángos, rétes, kurtocskalacs and even hot wine. Perfect for the cool spring weather. The hike up... 更多
