The St Stephens basilica is such a beautiful building! You can go inside and even up the tower, there's a lot of stairs but there is also a small elevate you can use, we took the stairs and the view from the top was so rewarding!
St Stephens is a magnificent cathedral right in the middle of the Pest side of Budapest, and is very significant as a place of worship for many reasons. Marvel at the design and sheer scale of the interior. By the way, the second must-do church is Matayas in old Buda
we were there for an hour, huge structure, beautiful steps leading up, interior very peaceful, carvings, paintings and sculpture. there is a fee to go up to view the city which we did not do as we already get a superb view from fisherman's bastion.... for free. starbucks café next door is very nice for a coffee break. radha aiyar.

We made reservations for the one hour long organ concert at night. It was one of my favourite parts of the trip. It was organ music with opera and the flute in different short pieces.
