I do not mind paying to see some spectacular waterfalls but Savica is far from spectacular. I guess its popularity owes much to its close proximity to a car park. Water levels were not very high but have seen much more impressive falls in Slovenia in the same week. Admittedly you may have to walk a little further than up... 更多
If you're in Bohinj with a few hours spare you may as well visit, but not the biggest or most spectacular falls on the planet. Having said that, the water levels were low and the larger right hand falls were not flowing at all, so YMMV. And it may be hard to be excited about waterfalls after having been to... 更多
We were staying at Ribcev Laz and took the enjoyable tourist boat trip across the lake before following the shady and gentle uphill path through the beech forest to the waterfall entry kiosk. (You can get there by bus or car on a separate road) We had local tourist passes (well worth the 10 Euros each for those staying in... 更多
We walked up to the waterfall from ribcev laz, was easy to find. €3 per adult to enter. It is a beautiful spot, yes there are many steps to climb, and yes sometimes there are lots of people there, but the waterfall is nice to see. If you don't mind paying the entry and then walking up to the actual... 更多
If you're in Bled and you like hiking and nature like I do, than this is just place to visit. It's like 20 minute drive from Bled to Bohinj. When you park your car it's 15-20 minute uphill walk. You have a few places to eat (local food also) and dring cold beer after you're done :)... As I said... 更多
as someone already mentioned before, you have to pay for parking and also for the entrance (3 Euros parking, same as in Blead lake and 3 Euros for adult person). But well, its pretty normal, Slovenia is making profit from tourist, so what. There is lot of stairs to get the waterfall but it is nice walk trough the forest.
First you pay 3€ for 3h parking and then it's a 15min hike to another entrance gate where you pay 3€ again to see the waterfall.... A complete scam, for a waterfall which is nice but not mind blowing.
We were really not expecting to go there since on the pictures it looked kind of small and not impressive. In reality it's gorgeous and it is again confirmation that pictures "may lie". Be prepared for 20 minutes walk upwards :)
