Quick note: Built in 12th century, relocated from Norway to Karpacz in 1800. There are only 28 stave-churches like this (most of them in Norway), but it is said that this is the best preserved one
Very nice, antique wooden church built in Norway - originally in 12th century, brought to Karpacz in the mid-18th century and rebuilt. Currently remains one of most recognized and visited monuments in Karpacz. A must see.
If you Scandinavian then it probably makes no difference however this is wonderful place located in great scenery. Consider 2 h stop if you planning your hike trip tough. This is also gate to Karkonoski Park Narodowy - so easy entry to mountains trip
The church is really worth to see, but you must be warned that the today's church differs from the original Vang stave church.The number of the genuine parts is rather small.
