Our family of six spent an afternoon here on a fine summer day. The entrance fee was quite reasonable for our family of 6 -- about US$15 -- which enabled entry to the entire complex. We had to wait about an hour to join a guided tour of the Mill section. We spent this time in the wooden town across... 更多
Having visited here 17 years ago we were keen to take up an opportunity to explore again the water wheel technology that we had so enjoyed then. It is a mistake to return to the ace of great memories. Although the museum has grown greatly thanks to Norwegian money and it is much more organised and proficient, it has lost... 更多
We did the Village and the farm exhibits...very impressive how they have maintained the old buildings with very informative explanations. I felt like we stepped back in time. We came to Roznov only because we are from Texas and our farm is on Roznov Road, as a Czech from this European town settled in Texas in the 1800s. Seeing these... 更多
Would not recommend this place if it was raining or looked like it was going to, but when the Sun is shinning it was just on 4 hours well spent walking around while being able to read the English Information Plaques outside each exhibit really helped. The place comes recommended.
Visiting open air museum in Roznov pod Radhostem is always a good idea (unless you are travelling in months that have certain limitations, usually January-April) Open air museum is build from authentic buildings that were moved to one place from all around Wallachia. During summer, almost every weekend there is a display themed for historical crafts, habits and folklore overall.... 更多
This museum contains from 3 small historical villages with wooden houses. In winter time, there is open just one, but its enough. In sommer you need 3 hours to see all the houses and their interiors. There is situated also nice museum of town Roznov pod Radhostem, in the same building where you can buy tickets.
If you want to spend an enjoyable day in the open air, but also learn something about history, old crafts and taste traditional food, then I highly recommend this place.
Vast collection of well preserved houses makes you feel like stepping into old past. Definitely go in summer and enjoy the whole day there. It was a perfect ending to a weekend in Beskydy.
Nice please, you can spend here all day, you will taste Typical Moravian cakes. Good please also for children and old people. Romantic place too.
We have traveled all the way to Moravia from Switzerland to see this and it was worth everything! This museum is so nice, clean, friendly, educational and peaceful! I was surprised very much. I am usually not the museum type of a person, but this was something different. It was large open air place, where you really get the feel... 更多
