A great escape from the crowds and confusion of the Charles Bridge area, yet only minutes away. A low cost excursion to the top of the hill park. Do explore the park and rose gardens, there are towers, and a house of mirrors, and other unusual things. Remember to save your coins for the fare.
it is a part of the transport system in prague so we used our 24 hour tickets to go up and down the hill. The view is nice and it takes about 2-3 minutes to get one side to the other. There is also a middle station which we didn't use.
We took the train up the hill, and saw fantastic views of Prague. It does get crowded at times but the views and the rose gardens are worth it. We decided to walk back down, just a bit of info- the fare is included in the transport system

There is plenty of room on the carriages with seating available... 更多
Don't even think of walking up Petrin Hill on a hot day - you have to try the funicular. It gets you up/down quickly with just a couple of stops on the way. It is cheap to use - I think the ticket going up cost approx £0.90 with a limited time to get back to the funicular in order... 更多

The funicular railway was constructed in the 1890's and, although it fell into disuse, it has been restored and now offers a more relaxing way to get to the top. It is also quite an experience... 更多
This Railway is not the most modern variety but it is clean, comfortable and takes you in no time from Lesser Town up to the summit of Petrin Hill where you can visit the Petrin Observation Tower, the Mirror Maze etc The beauty about this ride is if you buy a one day ticket of the Prague Transport System which... 更多
If it was only open! Always like these railways, just for the fun of it, always adds a bit of spice to your visit to whatever city you are going to, any way, we will be back in Prague, and hopefully it will be open then.
