I visited this small but interesting Museum on my last morning in Prague, as with a late flight, and having seen pretty much everything else that was of interest to me, I needed something really to fill the time. It was actually surprisingly informative. The Museum is very easy to find, being literally around the corner from Florenc metro station... 更多
Costs about $5 entrance fee, and was worth about 1-2 hours. It has a small pre-history section and a larger medieval section on Prague. Upstairs is a really interesting paper mache model (from 1826) of the city. That was probably the highlight. Very small ladies bathroom on the ground floor.
I think this museum is pretty cool - they have a special exhibit about cinemas in Prague and the history of that. They also have history of the kings/emperors and empires in Prague/Czech Republic. The main exhibit was closed though (I think just for the day), so it was a bit disappointing. The entrance fee is pretty cheap - students... 更多
This is a great place to see the history of Prague. The museum is a short distance from our hotel, and we wanted to experience the history of the city. We enjoyed seeing a variety of items going back hundreds of years.
Not sure why this museum is rated so low. It is located in a lovely building, has nice displays. A bit far from city center but the effort to get there worth it, especially if you have an interest in history as I do. Lovely staff, good explanations in English, interesting temporal expo too. Entrance only 5 euro for full... 更多
This is a small museum and doesn't really have all that much to offer. The building itself isn't too impressive, especially when compared to all stupendous places in Prague. The main thing to see is the model of Prague, which fills a whole room. To see all the collections, both permanent and special exhibits, takes about an hour. The museum... 更多
We visited this museum which is underestimated! It's exhibition consists of sections which goes back to neolithic age until quite recent age! It shows how the city was made and how Gothic nature really inspired Prague! I think that it's one of the best museums in Prague if you want to learn Prague's unique history!
This is a very thorough museum with professionally-designed exhibits. The highlight is the model of the city in the early 19th Century. But a thorough exhibit on one of the outer districts was quite good. Temporary exhibit on Prague cinemas very good. All descriptions in both Czech and English languages.
This must be your first visit. Very nice presentation of the city's history. Of course Langweil's papermade model of Prague is a must-to-see, it;s UNBELIEVABLE piece of art!
Museum was very small and cosy, contents were okay but what I liked most were the people. Everyone working there was so nice and eager to help and explain. I went very early and was the only one in most of the rooms, amazing and quiet experience.
