Beautiful heritage area on construction art of past generations. I highly recommend a visit Great Synagogue is located in the heart of Pilsen street sets Pětatřicátníků. It is the largest synagogue in the Czech Republic, which is also the second largest synagogue in Europe (after Budapest) and the third largest in the world after Jerusalem and Budapest.
Large, very impressive building that was built in the late 1800's when there was a substantial number of Jews living in the area. It could have done with a little more explanation of things, but it was still interesting. When I went, they had a photo exhibition from America... 更多
At this point of my adventures in Pilsen, I was prepared to be crushed with magnificent buildings at every corner! And this one was another perfect example of an immense structure with an immense history behind it! It was built out of devotion and love, with enormous sacrifice from those who financed it (they even had to ask for a... 更多
