We heard about the Gruffalo Trail and decided to take our daughter. The trail wasn't as good as folk made out, the trail can be over in just under a minute if you go down the wrong way to start as there wasn't any pointers on where to start the trail. The walk itself around the Loch was really nice... 更多
Came here today as heard it was a Gruffalo Trail. It is not. It is a beautiful little trail around a Loch that ends with a couple of wooden carvings of Gruffalo theme. Saying that, we were not at all disappointed. We enjoyed a lovely stroll, a playing in the park, feeding the ducks and lots of fresh air.
Recommended for anyone with young children or grandchildren. The walk round the loch is pleasant and our grand-children loved seeing the swans and ducks (and the signets and ducklings) but the highlight as always was the gruffalo sculptures. There is also good children's play park just a minutes walk from the sculptures. Plenty of free parking on surrounding streets.

It's lovely on a Sunday to pedal over here with the kids, round the loch and through to the swing park. Work up an appetite for lunch and maybe a lunchtime pint.
Having gown up in the area, it was lovely to return with grandsons to seek out Gruffalo and other carvings. Well maintained paths and great play park at end of Stockiemuir Ave.Many happy memories of this loch and I hope it remains for many years to come
Great walk around a loch which has swans and ducks etc. Look out for the various wooden sculptures including a Gruffalo one, one with a fox, an owl, a couple of benches with pond creatures and in the adjacent playpark you can find some Bears (for Bearsden !) with a honey pot !
