This still remains one of the best spots to check the surf swell size, direction and even surf if the surf is huge. Most places in san Juan blow out with too much surf or wind, but Pine Grove holds a large swell and filters it down to rideable size in the winter season. The summer time swells are flat.... 更多
Great moody beach. Sometimes is flat and clear which is perfect for snorkeling around the small key, and sometimes the swells pick up enough for body boarding. Went last April and May and spent a week in Viques. Our hotel was unusual and constantly smelled like horse manure. It was also a 10 minute bad drive to everythiing including drinkable water. We went to Culebra, a neighboring island, the year before. Culebra is far cleaner, better beaches and friendlier.
