The replica of Amity Brig is a mind-opening experience for all. While kids will love clambering around the ship, which is a veritable maze and marvel of planning and building, adults will learn a lot about the history of sea travel. Nearby, the museums are full of amazing information that will keep visitors occupied for hours. No worries about the... 更多
We were looking forward to visiting The Brig Amity, and so were our children, ages 7 and 1. As we struggled walking up the small hill with our toddler up to the Amity, our 7 year old eagerly ran ahead unto the boat. She was unaware, much like we were, that a ticket would need to be purchased to gain... 更多
Not quite sure why, but someone dumped this replica of an old ship near the bottom of the main street in Albany. That said it makes a nice little attraction which takes about 40 minutes to go through with a basic audio guide ($5). A good little attraction for those looking for something extra to do in Albany.
Run by volunteers (who are super friendly and willing to chat about the local area), this is an excellent tour to take. It is self guided with recordings to listen to at each point of interest on the boat. I was interested to hear that when they came ashore they treated the local Aboriginal group with friendliness and as the... 更多
An interesting self guided tour of all areas of this well made replica. Helps bring some of the area's history to light plus understand how it was developed. Moderate entry fee and can view fully in less than 30 minutes. If out of time, easy to view, for free, from road or carpark.
A short walk from town is this excellent replica of a brig. The attendant was friendly and informed. For a mere $5, you are gifted with a pleasant and engaging 45minutes (at least) of the town's history and the part that naval vessels played in the establishment of Albany. There is also an acknowledgment of the indigenous people's perspective, which... 更多
For a very cheap (compared to many attractions) fee you can spend a good hour looking around the small ship. Using the provided audio tour you get a sense of the life that early settlers and pioneers must have endured. Very informative and the staff were quick with more details and directions to other great local attractions worth visiting.
This is interesting but not that special. The display is part of the Museum area which is also interesting but could be better but good that some of the history of the area is presented.
Modern built but in the old style, this attraction is very informative and extremely affordable. $5 per person gets you on board with a pre recorded commentary thrown in. The nearby museum and attached buildings are actually free to enter and get by on donations from patrons and sponsors alike. Themed displays are changed however frequently and when we were... 更多
