We visited the Brig Amity on a very rainy day but this did not really spoil our enjoyment of the ship. It was very interesting to learn all about the history of the area and the conditions aboard the ship. The guide was very good at explaining everything and we found the tour fascinating. Highly recommended.
What a wonderful replica from the original this is a lovely ship and you can imagine what life would have been like coming out from the other side of the world not really knowing if you would make it here. Great to bring the kids

If you are claustrophobic then give this a miss. There is a bit of climbing on small ladders to get into the hold to view the sleeping quarters etc so if you are a senior or a very young one with not good balance, then view this from the ground rather than up close. You're on a replica historical boat which is nestled in dry land overlooking the ocean. $5 gives you access to said boat and useful information via an audio device whilst you explore what it would have been like back in the seafaring days of yesteryear.
