Never been to a vineyard that makes you share a glass with your partner. My husband and myself were given 1 glass to use for the tasting of 2 wines we tried. The young lady was not that friendly and not very interested.
We passed a few cellar doors on our way up from Hobart. Freycinet Vineyards was the only one I visited because I was keen to taste its pinot noirs which have a high reputation. Sadly, they did not do it for me. The chardonnay was good though and I bought a bottle to bring home. Pretty much the full range... 更多
Well i think some people need to get a life. John is very pleasant witty and excellent knowledge on wines . He kept us amused for ages. We purchased a dozen bottles to send home to WA. Wine if choice being Freycinet Pinot Noir. Dont be scared of the price of $60 best in Tassie by far. Also purchased a... 更多
I got a shock as to how this winery has not been updated since visiting quite a few years ago. The furniture is quite tired and the décor. The gentleman serving us the wine tasting was fun, and did make the whole experience a good time. We didn't make a purchase.
Pretty disappointing. Really preferred the other 5 or so vineyards we visited on our East coast trip. The wine poorer was not so friendly, the wine was ok, but nothing special. We didn't go there on our most recent trip to the area and probably won't again.

Of course it is important to try all the wines when doing a tasting - often you find you enjoy wines you thought you wouldn't. I'm not a fan of Chardonnay but really liked the version produced here. Light and... 更多
We stopped there on a day which we had set aside to visit the many wineries near Coles Bay. When we entered there were already a few guests there doing a wine-tasting. To start us off we were given a 'mystery wine' and were asked to guess what variety it was, which would have been funny if the man wasn't... 更多
Visited with friends Was ignored when walking in & not greeted Had to lean on counter to gain some attention as only 2 other patrons were tasting but 2 staff behind the counter - one of which thought that washing the glasses was more important than we were Asked to sample sparkling wine - prepared to buy a bottle with... 更多
The variety of wines at this medium vineyard is quite impressive. As I have noted previously, I become quite annoyed with vineyards that produce a limited range of wine that they argue is therefore superior but to my buds is closer to an award winning vinegar that could be purchased from Aldi supermarkets at a quarter or less of the... 更多
