A relaxing and great value trip. Our skipper did a concise/informative commentary. His information on history and birdlife spot on. Plus his safety explanations excellent for folk who may not be familiar with boats. Very comfortable boat for all ages groups. A nice way to see Caloundra and surrounds via the water. Well worth doing.
The cruise I was on was a cruise from Pelican Waters, up and down the canals, a trip up to the the surf entrance between Caloundra and Bribie Island. It was most interesting as we viewed all the houses, apartments and tourists along the canals and boardwalk from a position never seen before. The cruise was approximately 2 hours and... 更多
Found out about this boat trip at local pub. Was not wanting to do much on our 3 day break at Caloundra but this trip was only for 90 minutes and only cost $22.00 each. Left from Pelican Waters up to Caloundra and back again for lunch at Pub. Perfect. Very relaxed and talk by boat driver was so informative... 更多
My husband and I really enjoyed the sunset cruise. The price was very reasonable ($22 per person) and we liked being able to bring our own drinks and nibbles on board. The boat was clean, in good condition and very comfortable. It was a very relaxing way to enjoy the sunset. I normally get seasick, so was a bit worried... 更多
My girlfriend & I decided to do this even though we felt it was more suited to romantic couples (we are not!) We took our wine & tapas and eventually made our way up on top on the boat; we were thankful we did as this was so much more fun, listening to the music, chatting to others and looking... 更多
A relaxing cruise along the Pumicestone Passage and Bribie Island to Pelican Waters Tavern for lunch on our last days stay in Caloundra. The cruise was good value for money. Plenty of birds taking advantage of the sandbanks. Don't forget your binoculars and suntan lotion.
Something so simple turned out to be a very good afternoon. The boat takes 45 min to get to Pelican Waters. You then get 90 mins there where you can get lunch somewhere and then you board for the 45 return journey. Along the way, the captain provides interesting tidbits of information. It's not bombarded on you the whole way,... 更多
The cruise takes you out to the heads, then along through the channel to the canals where you stop at Pelican Waters Tavern for a delicious lunch. There is commentary all the way and you can choose to sit on the top deck or the lower deck out of the sun.
Really enjoyed this evening out. Went in the summer so nice and warm. Took our own alcohol and nibbles. Saw osprey, pelicans and black swans. Lovely sunset but did not see it set over the glass house mountains. Music on the boat was My era of 1980 and 1990's. Will be taking friends on it soon again!
We have done the Thursday eco cruise a second time because the first was so good. Very informative and interesting about our large bird sanctuary, some local and wat history. Morning tea is delightful in the serene passage. The weather was extremely windy but the trip was perfectly calm and well protected. I am prone to severe sea sickness and... 更多
