We came across this hidden gem on a car journey/day-trip out from Copenhagen. It's absolutely stunning and - apart from the car park (40Kr) - free of charge. You need to hold young hands as the cliffs are freely accessible, but we managed fine. The views are really spectacular as are the ancient church, the quaint painter's cottage and the... 更多
You need to go to the museum before starting to walk the site, it tells the natural history of how the area was for geologically. Very steep stairs down the cliff face and a difficult climb back up. A beautiful old church on the cliff face offers spectacular views of the area.
To one side, farmers' fields, with farmhouses in the distance. To the other, the Kattegat, which leads to the Baltic Sea. Summer wheat to one side, the sea to the other. Superb on a nice day. Hike to the lighthouse, and climb it for a spectacular view, 360 degrees.
We visited Stevns Klint as an extended family: kids, parents, grandparents. The views are fantastic with a clifftop church overlooking the sea, a historic lighthouse and more if you are willing to hike or drive around. There is a small parking fee, but otherwise the visit is free of charge, or payment is optional. There are steep stairs going from... 更多
We took a hike through the walking path after the visit to the old church. It was quite a walk with very small signs along the way. The water front was beautiful though. It was strange to have a Unesco site so quiet.
Been here lots of times but not since the placed it on UNESCOS world natural heritage, and there seem to be many more turists than usually. But the place is great and one to see if you like to marvel at the wonders of the world
Excellent afternoon diversion if you are tiring of the city. The "old" church, which looks like it may fall into the sea tomorrow, is a beautiful part of this heritage site. Beware the steep steps down to the beach if you have cardiac or mobility issues. Stop at the little café for coffee and homemade pastry, with the added benefit... 更多
The main geology feature is interesting although it might be a bit hard to spot, but the "normal" sights of cliffs and a church hanging on its brink of destruction are spectacular sights on it self. Going to the church area is a good start. The museum is there, parking and its the main spot to where the signs directs... 更多
Very nice place, good parking, toilettes and a steap staircase to get to the beach. Fantastic view of layers, and the worlds most visible proof of a major disaster that killed off the dinosaurs. Good fishing as well!
