fun thing to do with the family, elevator will take you up to the Durie Hill memorial, and then you can climb the tower to get a fabulous view of the city.
Didn't actually go inside the elevator but went to see it and admire the view. Wonderful! It's worth going there just to see it from the outside. I'm sure the tour would be more than worth doing too.
Simply a fantastic experience and topped with stunning views over the town and out to the coast. A short stroll from the top elevator to the Wanganui water tower standing 100ft tall improving the panoramic view of the entire town and area.

What a fantastic piece of history that's used daily by locals!!! Tunnel is amazing and the ride up the elevator and then the tower to see our amazing view of Wanganui is great.

Rickety elevator felt a bit like being in a magnitude 4.5 earthquake (beware anyone from Christchurch). Very unique in NZ. Great views over city from hilltop and only $2... 更多
