This large local park is bisected by a railway cutting. This allows the west side to be an off leash area for dogs and the east side to have sporting facilities and a children's playground. I can't say the exact times I have been to alma park, but it is almost every second week. Living quite close, I think it is a good place to chill and enjoy the sun before winter comes. At night when walking around, there are lights on the footpath and it feels safe. There are 24hr toilets in the princes... 更多
Alma Park is a gem in busy East St Kilda. There are two parts to the park. Alma Park East is for kids and has a great play area, bbqs, picnic tables and toilets. There is also a sports oval. Alma Park West is an off the leash dog park. It is huge so plenty of area for your doggie... 更多
Honestly I probably would not visit this park if it wasn't for the markets. It's a little bit sketchy and a section of the park is currently under construction. But the markets are cool - plenty of food options and nice atmosphere with the live music.
Alma park has the kids area on one side and the dog walking, tai chi and adult area on the other side and is separated by a train line which is all fenced off and safe for the children. The Alma Park has to be one of this areas best kept secrets. It has lead free areas for dogs, expanses of shady grassed areas for picnics, a suburb playground for kids of all ages and one of the oldest groves of fruiting olive trees in Melb. Very good for kids with a lot of space for the to enjoy good time outdoor. Adults have a lot of space to sit and relax while kids are playing.
