The rock wall says it all: people come here year after year (some as much as 20- 25 years) and with good reason. Dolphins in the river, it's clean, quiet, relaxing. A very pretty place that hasn't been overcrowded by development.

Great fishing, swimming or paddle boarding. Im a fisher woman and in my boat travelled from the mouth to kilometres up stream. Catching flathead and bream. Great times!

We really enjoy our visit of port Macquarie over Christmas. Morning and evening walks along river is very enjoyable. Fishing is good too. Towards the town beach along the river there are a display of all sorts of art on the large stones. It brings shark and mastery to your walk. Every time you note something new and admire drawings.
The water of river is not clear like I expected but we, human, love to be near water. In good weather it is pretty and relaxing. We saw spectacular thunders and lightnings - but be aware this area is known for hails as big as baseball size! I heard some people were struck by lightning too!
it was $17 each and worth the money. It was a pleasant evening and Sean the crew driver is very funny and made us laugh. My friend Linda and I bought our own wine -just one glass each and we enjoyed it a lot.I think it is people who made the difference.
